Matters of significance which Michael has been involved in include acting for the following:

• Successfully defending Precise Development Pte Ltd, a contractor, in the Appellate Division of the High Court in an appeal brought by Ten-League Engineering & Technology for breach of direct payment arrangement.
   

• Representing Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co Ltd, as main contractor, in the General Division of the High Court of Singapore in proceedings commenced by the Main MCST and Sub-MCST over alleged defects in the Watertown Development.
   

• Representing a multinational Korean main contractor in the Asian International Arbitration Centre in a dispute against a terminated Malaysian subcontractor arising from a skyscraper project, with claims exceeding RM400 million.
   

• Representing a joint venture of Korean and Japanese contractors in the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre against a Vietnamese state-owned entity, in respect of claims for extensions of time and prolongation costs worth more than US$115 million arising out of an infrastructure project in Vietnam.
   

• Providing disputes advice and ministerial brief on a SEA public infrastructure project with a value of approximately S$4 billion.
   

• Providing disputes advice and matter management on a joint venture dispute relating to the construction of a national healthcare project with a value of more than S$1 billion.
   

• Successfully defended a SEA government-linked entity in a decade-long international arbitration involving delays in the construction of a public infrastructure project with a claim of more than S$58 million, with all claims dismissed.
   

• Representing a SEA government-linked entity with claims on defects in a tunnel ventilation system amounting to more than S$8 million.
