Michelle CHOY is an Associate of the Firm. Her areas of practice include dispute resolution and front-end work, with particular focus on infrastructure, construction and engineering matters.
Michelle regularly assists and represents stakeholders at all levels in the construction industry, such as developers, contractors and consultants in international and domestic arbitrations, court matters and in high stake adjudications under the SOP Act. She has also acted for and advised clients in mediations conducted by the Singapore Mediation Centre.
On the project advisory front, she has advised clients on issues such as calls and resisting of calls on performance bonds, termination of contracts, and other bespoke issues. She is also involved in non-contentious matters, such as reviewing and advising on bespoke contracts.
Prior to joining the Firm, Michelle trained and practiced in one of the Big 4 law firms in Singapore in its infrastructure, construction and engineering department.
Michelle graduated from the University of Sydney in 2021 with a double degree in Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Bachelors of Commerce (Accounting). Michelle emerged as the top candidate in the Singapore Part A Bar Examinations 2022. She scored distinctions in the Company Law, Land Law and Singapore Legal System modules, and was awarded the SILE Prize for the Best Performing Candidate.
